where did cain's wife come from

Cain's wife was a close relative, most likely his sister or possibly a niece. Since Adam and Eve were the first human beings according to the Bible, all humans descended from them, meaning Cain's wife had to be one of their descendants as well. This was a necessity for the continuation of humanity after Cain and Abel, as Genesis mentions Adam and Eve having other sons and daughters whose names are not recorded.
