Jaylen Brown attended college at the University of California, Berkeley, commonly known as Cal. He played for the California Golden Bears basketball team during the 2015-16 season, his only year in college before entering the NBA draft. During that freshman year, he averaged 14.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game and was named the 2016 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year
