where did keith urban grow up

Keith Urban was born in Whangarei, New Zealand, but he grew up primarily in Caboolture, Queensland, Australia. He moved there with his parents when he was about two years old. Urban developed his passion for music influenced by his parents' love for American country music while growing up in Queensland. He attended Caboolture State High School before pursuing music full-time from a young age.
