The Great British Baking Show is primarily filmed at Welford Park Estate, located in the heart of Newbury, Berkshire, England. This estate has been the main filming location since 2014, with a short relocation to Down Hall Hotel in Essex during the COVID-19 pandemic. The iconic white tent used for the show is pitched annually on the grounds of Welford Park, alongside the Grade-I Listed Welford Park House and its round-tower church. The estate's picturesque gardens, parkland, apple orchard, and wildflower meadow provide a quintessentially British backdrop for the baking competition.
Before settling at Welford Park, earlier seasons of the show were filmed at various other locations including Valentines Mansion in London, Harptree Court in Somerset, and multiple other British countryside locations during the very first series when the tent moved weekly to fit baking themes.
