George Clooney and Amal Clooney live in Brignoles, in the Provence region of France. They purchased an 18th-century chateau, Domaine Le Canadel (also referred to as Domaine du Canadel), near Brignoles in 2021 for about $8.3 million, and have since maintained a low profile while enjoying a country-life retreat away from Hollywood. They also own other properties in Europe and the U.S., but their long-term French base has been centered around this estate in the Var department, close to Brignoles and Cotignac.
