Yao Ming currently lives in Shanghai, China. After retiring from professional basketball in 2011, he moved back to Shanghai where he continues his career as a basketball executive and businessman. Although he previously owned a mansion in Houston, Texas, he is mainly based in Shanghai now, where he has many professional engagements and business ventures.
