Angel Falls is located in the Guiana Highlands in Bolívar state, southeastern Venezuela. It is situated on the Churún River, a tributary of the Caroní River, within Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The waterfall drops from a flat-topped plateau called Auyán-Tepuí in the heart of the park. Angel Falls is the world's tallest uninterrupted waterfall, with a height of 3,212 feet (979 meters) and a width of about 500 feet (150 meters) at the base. The falls are best seen from the air due to the dense jungle surrounding them and are located about 160 miles (260 km) southeast of Ciudad Bolívar in Venezuela.
