Larry Fitzgerald is from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born there on August 31, 1983, and grew up in the area, attending Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield, Minnesota.
Although Fitzgerald became closely associated with Arizona after spending his entire 17-year NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota is his hometown. He later played college football at the University of Pittsburgh before Arizona selected him third overall in the 2004 NFL Draft.
His career made him one of the most recognizable players in Cardinals history, but Fitzgerald has continued to identify strongly with his Minnesota roots. Arizona eventually became his longtime home, while Minneapolis remains the place where he was born and raised.
