where is grand canyon

The Grand Canyon is located entirely within the state of Arizona, in the northwest corner of the state. It is carved by the Colorado River, which flows through the canyon for about 277 miles (446 km) within Arizona. The canyon lies on the Colorado Plateau and is part of the Grand Canyon National Park, which covers a large area including the North Rim and South Rim of the canyon. The park is situated near the borders of Utah and Nevada but the Grand Canyon itself is fully within Arizona
