where is hurricane priscilla now

Hurricane Priscilla is currently located off the southern tip of Baja California, Mexico. As of October 9, 2025, it is around 200 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, moving northwest at about 7 to 10 mph. The storm has weakened from a Category 2 or 3 hurricane to a tropical storm with wind speeds around 50 to 75 mph, and it is expected to continue weakening and dissipate off the coast in the next couple of days. Priscilla is still causing heavy rainfall and dangerous surf conditions along the Baja California peninsula and southwestern Mexico, with moisture expected to bring rainfall to the southwestern United States later this week.
