Latin America is a cultural region in the Americas where Romance languages (mainly Spanish and Portuguese) are predominantly spoken. It generally includes the entire continent of South America, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean islands where these languages are common. Specifically, Latin America covers countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and many others. This region stretches from the U.S.-Mexico border down to the southern tip of South America, encompassing a diverse set of countries primarily in Central and South America as well as parts of the Caribbean.
