Morocco is located in the northwest corner of Africa. It is bordered by the North Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Mediterranean Sea to the north. On land, Morocco shares borders with Algeria to the east and the disputed territory of Western Sahara to the south. It lies just across the Strait of Gibraltar from Spain in Europe.
