Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Donell Williams Jr., is from Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up in the Cane Creek Apartments on the south side of Memphis and began focusing on music seriously at age 18. His father founded the local label Mob Ties Records, and Pooh Shiesty started his rap career in Memphis before signing with Gucci Mane's 1017 Records.
