where is the oldest library in the world

The oldest known library in the world is the Royal Library of Ebla, dating back to around 2500–2250 BCE. It was discovered near Mardikh in present-day Syria and contained thousands of organized clay tablets, making it the earliest known organized repository of written knowledge. However, the oldest continuously operating library is the Al-Qarawiyyin Library in Fez, Morocco, founded in 859 AD and still in operation today as part of the university complex.
