where is the typhoon

The current typhoon is Typhoon Ragasa. It has made landfall on the southern coast of China, near Hailing Island in Guangdong province. It was at its peak recently with wind speeds of 241 km/h (150 mph) and was the strongest storm globally this year. The typhoon has caused significant damage and evacuation of nearly two million residents in southern China. It has also impacted Taiwan, causing at least 17 fatalities, and injured around 90 people in Hong Kong. The storm is now moving inland over southern China, where heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected to continue for several days.
