You can find your iPhone's serial number in several places:
- On the iPhone itself:
Go to Settings > General > About and look for the "Serial Number" entry. You can tap and hold the number to copy it if needed
- Before setting up the device:
When you turn on a new iPhone and see the "Hello" screen, tap the small "i" icon in the bottom-right corner to view the serial number and other device info without completing setup
- On the physical device:
For some models, the serial number is printed on the back of the iPhone or on the SIM tray (especially for older models)
- Original packaging:
The serial number is printed on the barcode label on the iPhone’s original box
- Using a computer:
Connect your iPhone to a Mac or PC. On a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, open Finder and select your device under the General tab to see the serial number. On a PC or older macOS versions, use iTunes or the Apple Devices app
- If you don’t have the phone or it won’t turn on:
Log in to your Apple ID account at appleid.apple.com, scroll to your devices list, select your iPhone, and view its serial number there. Alternatively, use another Apple device signed in with the same Apple ID to find the serial number in Settings under your name and devices list
