Broadchurch was primarily filmed in Dorset, England, especially in and around the seaside town of West Bay near Bridport. Key filming locations included the dramatic cliffs, beaches, and harbor of West Bay, as well as other nearby Dorset locations such as Weymouth, Bridport, Eypes Mouth, Charmouth, and Little Bredy (Bridehead House was used as Axehampton House in the series). Some interior scenes were shot in Clevedon, North Somerset. The coastal scenery of the Jurassic Coast, including Harbour Cliff Beach where the fictional murder occurred, was integral to the drama and featured prominently throughout the series.
