Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah. The shooting happened at an outdoor event near the university's Losee Center, where Kirk was speaking under a tent during his American Comeback Tour. The bullet was fired from the roof of the Losee Center building, approximately 130 to 150 yards away from where Kirk was seated in the courtyard. The shot hit Kirk in the neck during a Q&A session, causing him to collapse. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was seen moving to the roof shooting location earlier that day and fled the scene by jumping off the roof into a wooded area near the campus, where the weapon was later found.
