where was to the manor born filmed

The filming of "To the Manor Born" took place primarily at Cricket St Thomas in Somerset, England. The exterior shots and some interior scenes of Grantleigh Manor were filmed at the Cricket House located on the Cricket St Thomas estate. The Old Lodge, which is depicted in the series as being just outside the drive to Grantleigh Manor, is actually about a mile away from the manor and is known as West Lodge. Studio filming for interiors was also done at the BBC's Television Centre in Shepherd's Bush, London. The 2007 special episode was filmed on location in Cricket St Thomas and the studio footage was filmed at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.
