The TV series Vice Principals was primarily filmed in North Charleston, South Carolina, specifically in the Park Circle neighborhood. Additional filming locations included Charleston and Mount Pleasant in South Carolina. The fictional North Jackson High School in the show was represented by two real local schools: R.B. Stall High School and West Ashley High School. Other Charleston landmarks such as the South Carolina Aquarium and Charles Towne Landing also appeared in the series. The creators initially considered Wilmington, North Carolina, but chose Charleston after Bill Murray, who had a cameo in the show, encouraged them to film there. The filming in Charleston was significant enough that local artist Douglas Panzone even painted a mural dedicated to the show in Park Circle
