The African country with the most pyramids is Sudan. Sudan has between 220 and 255 pyramids, which is more than Egypt, whose pyramids number likely around 118. These Sudanese pyramids were built by the rulers of the ancient Kingdom of Kush and are smaller in size compared to the famous Egyptian pyramids. The majority of these pyramids are found in the ancient city of Meroƫ and other sites like El-Kurru, Nuri, and Jebel Barkal in the region known historically as Nubia.
