Africa is the only continent that lies in all four hemispheres: Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western.
Why Africa Is Unique
The Equator crosses Africa, so parts of the continent are in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The Prime Meridian also runs through Africa, placing land in both the Eastern and Western Hemispheres.
Other Continents
Other continents may span two hemispheres, but none besides Africa are crossed by both the Equator and the Prime Meridian. This makes Africa the only continent with land in all four hemispheric divisions at once.
