The national game of Bangladesh is Kabaddi. It is a traditional contact team sport played between two teams of seven players, widely popular especially in rural areas of Bangladesh and an important part of the country's cultural heritage. Kabaddi was officially declared the national sport of Bangladesh in 1972 and is also known locally as Ha-Du-Du.
