To check which version of Windows you have, follow these steps:
- Click on the Windows search bar at the bottom left of your screen.
- Type "winver" and press Enter. This will open the About Windows dialog box showing your Windows version and build number.
- Alternatively, click the Start button, then go to Settings > System > About. Here you'll find detailed information about your Windows edition, version, and build under Windows Specifications.
- You can also open Command Prompt or PowerShell and type "systeminfo | findstr /B /C:"OS Name" /B /C:"OS Version"" and press Enter to see your OS name and version.
This will provide the exact Windows version you are running, such as Windows 10 Home, Windows 11 Pro, along with the version number and build.
