To vote in the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections in the Philippines, you must be a Filipino citizen, at least 15 but not older than 30 years old on or before election day, and have lived in your barangay for at least six months before election day
. You also must be registered with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)
. Generally, to vote in U.S. federal, state, and local elections, you must be a U.S. citizen, meet your state’s residency requirements, and be 18 years old on or before election day
. Also, you must be registered to vote by your state's voter registration deadline
. However, non-citizens cannot vote in federal, state, and most local elections
. Some states require voters to present identification in order to vote at the polls on Election Day
