In Canada, to be eligible to vote in a federal election, a person must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Canadian citizen.
- Be at least 18 years old on election day.
- Be registered to vote or able to prove identity and address at the polling station.
Voting is available to Canadian citizens who meet the age requirement, and eligible voters can show proof of identity and address when voting. Non- citizens are not eligible to vote. Voting can be done on election day, at advance polls, at Elections Canada offices, or by mail with proper registration and identification.
