The Plum Pudding Model was created by J.J. Thomson. He proposed this model around 1904 following his discovery of the electron in 1897. In this model, the atom was envisioned as a sphere of positive charge with negatively charged electrons embedded within it, like plums in a pudding or raisins in a cake. This concept was an important step in atomic theory, introducing the idea that atoms were divisible and contained subatomic particles.
