Joe Buck did not play for a sports team as an athlete; rather, he is a renowned sportscaster and announcer. He was a local radio and television announcer for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1991 to 2007. Early in his broadcasting career, he called play-by-play for the Louisville Redbirds, a minor-league affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. Buck is best known for being the lead play-by-play announcer for FOX Sports' NFL and MLB coverage and currently for ESPN Monday Night Football. He is the son of the late broadcasting legend Jack Buck, and both are notable for their contributions as sportscasters, not athletes.
