First Marriage to Michal
David married Michal after fulfilling King Saul’s condition of bringing 100 Philistine foreskins as a dowry, though David exceeded the requirement by bringing 200. Michal loved David, and their marriage began during David’s rise to prominence. However, while David was fleeing from Saul, Michal was given to another man, Paltiel. After Saul’s death, David reclaimed Michal as his wife, demanding her return despite her subsequent marriage.
