Bob Iger is an American media executive who has led The Walt Disney Company as its Chief Executive Officer. He first rose to prominence within ABC and Capital Cities/ABC, then became Disney’s president in 2000 and CEO in 2005. He guided Disney through major acquisitions (Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 21st Century Fox) and helped expand Disney’s direct-to-consumer platforms, including Disney+. Iger stepped down as CEO in 2020, served as executive chairman, and then returned as CEO in November 2022, with his contract renewed through 2026.
