Charlie Kirk (October 14, 1993 – September 10, 2025) was an American far-right political activist, author, conspiracy theorist, and media personality. He co- founded the conservative organization Turning Point USA (TPUSA) in 2012 and served as its executive director. Kirk was a chief executive officer of Turning Point Action, a political advocacy arm, and was involved in mobilizing young conservative voters across the US, often supporting former President Donald Trump and promoting MAGA (Make America Great Again) populist causes. He was known for his controversial views on various social and political issues and was a prominent voice in the Christian nationalist movement within the Republican Party. Kirk gained influence through initiatives like the Professor Watchlist and School Board Watchlist and was active in media through "The Charlie Kirk Show" and frequent appearances on Fox News. His organization, TPUSA, grew into a significant conservative youth movement with thousands of members on college campuses nationwide. Kirk was also noted for engaging in cultural and political debates, particularly criticizing the mainstream media and advocating for conservative values among young people. Tragically, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, during a public debate event at Utah Valley University while on his "American Comeback Tour." He left a legacy as one of the leading conservative activists in the US, especially among young voters, and was recognized for his role in promoting the MAGA movement and supporting Donald Trump during his political campaigns.
