Halle Bailey is an American singer-songwriter and actress, best known as one half of the R &B duo Chloe x Halle with her sister Chloe Bailey and for portraying Ariel in Disney's 2023 live-action The Little Mermaid.
Born Halle Lynn Bailey on March 27, 2000, in Atlanta, Georgia, she rose to fame posting music covers on YouTube with her sister from a young age, gaining mentorship from Beyoncé. The duo released albums The Kids Are Alright (2018) and Ungodly Hour (2020), earning five Grammy nominations together.
Solo Career
Bailey debuted as a solo artist with "Angel" in 2023, earning a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song, followed by singles "In Your Hands" (2024) and "Because I Love You" (2024). She released her debut studio album, Love?... or Something Like It , on October 24, 2025.
