Mark Carney is a Canadian economist and politician who has been serving as the 24th Prime Minister of Canada since March 2025. He is the leader of the Liberal Party and Member of Parliament for Nepean. Born on March 16, 1965, in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Carney has a strong academic background with a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University and a master's and doctorate in economics from the University of Oxford
