Phil Lyman is an American politician and Certified Public Accountant from Blanding, Utah. He has served as San Juan County Commissioner and currently represents the 69th district in the Utah House of Representatives. Lyman is recognized for his bold leadership, especially in advocating for local rights against federal land control. Notably, he led a peaceful protest against federal closure of public roads in San Juan County and was later pardoned by President Donald Trump in 2020 for a related conviction. Politically, he is known for his conservative stance, championing property and water rights, rural healthcare, indigenous people's needs, and opposing federal overreach.
