Prophet Muhammad (c. 570 – June 8, 632 CE) was the founder of Islam and is regarded by Muslims as the final prophet and messenger of God. He was born in Mecca, in present-day Saudi Arabia, into the Quraysh tribe, and was orphaned early in life. Known for his honesty and trustworthiness, he earned the nickname "Al-Amin" (the Trustworthy) before his prophetic mission began
. At about the age of 40, while meditating in a cave called Hira near Mecca, Muhammad received his first revelation from the angel Gabriel.
