Robert Redford's wife is Sibylle Szaggars. They were married in 2009 and had been together for 16 years until his death in 2025. Szaggars is an artist and environmental activist originally from Germany. Redford and Szaggars met in the late 1990s at his Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah and kept their relationship largely private. Redford described her as a "very special person" and appreciated that she was younger and European, which brought a new dimension to his life.
