Roy Rogers married Dale Evans on New Year's Eve in 1947 at the Flying L Ranch in Davis, Oklahoma, where they had filmed the movie Home in Oklahoma a few months earlier
. This was Rogers' third marriage and Evans' fourth. They remained married until Rogers' death in 1998
