Mack Trucks is owned by Volvo Group. The Swedish multinational Volvo Group acquired Mack Trucks and its former parent company Renault Véhicules Industriels in 2000, making Mack Trucks a wholly owned subsidiary. Although Renault had previously owned Mack and retained some shares in Volvo, Volvo Group has full control over Mack Trucks. Mack Trucks benefits from Volvo's technology and resources while maintaining its American heritage and distinct product line.
