Kyril Louis-Dreyfus is the majority shareholder and chairman of Sunderland AFC, owning about 64% of the club. Juan Sartori, a Uruguayan businessman and politician, owns the remaining 36% of the shares, making the pair joint owners in terms of total control.
Ownership timeline
Louis-Dreyfus first acquired a 41% stake and became chairman in February 2021, later increasing his share to a controlling stake. By 2023 he and Sartori had bought out previous owner Stewart Donald’s remaining shares, giving them 100% control between them.
