West Ham United is primarily owned by a group of four major stakeholders:
- David Sullivan, a British businessman, owns the largest share with 38.8% of the club.
- Daniel Kretinsky, a Czech businessman, owns 27% through 1890s Holdings a.s.
- Vanessa Gold, representing the family trust of the late David Gold, owns 25.1%.
- American billionaire Albert Tripp Smith owns an 8% stake.
- Other minor investors collectively own about 1.1%.
David Sullivan and Vanessa Gold serve as the joint chairs, with Karren Brady acting as vice-chair. Sullivan has been in operational and commercial control since he bought an initial 50% stake with David Gold in 2010. The ownership structure changed after previous owners, including an Icelandic consortium, offloaded their shares during financial difficulties in 2010.
