Electronic Arts (EA) was sold in a $55 billion deal to a consortium of private investors including Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), private equity firm Silver Lake, and Jared Kushner's investment firm Affinity Partners. This acquisition takes EA private, with all publicly traded shares being acquired. CEO Andrew Wilson will continue his role following the acquisition. This is one of the largest leveraged buyouts in history and represents a significant investment by Saudi Arabia in the gaming industry.
