Robert Redford was married twice. His first wife was Lola Van Wagenen, whom he married in 1958 and with whom he had four children. They were married until the mid-1980s. Redford's second wife was Sibylle Szaggars, an artist and environmental activist. They were married in 2009 and remained married until Redford's death in 2025. Szaggars and Redford shared a strong bond in environmental activism and met in the late 1990s at his Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah.
