Ted Bundy was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, and necrophiliac who killed dozens of young women and girls in the 1970s across multiple states, including Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Florida. He was known for his charm and intelligence, which he used to lure victims by pretending to be injured or impersonating authority figures. Bundy confessed to killing 30 women but is suspected of killing many more. He was convicted and sentenced to death for several murders and was executed in the electric chair in Florida on January 24, 1989. Despite the horrific nature of his crimes, Bundy gained a sort of celebrity during his trial due to his demeanor and the public's fascination with him.
