The Bondi Beach shooting is still an evolving situation and not all official information has been fully confirmed or released. News and police reports so far indicate there were two alleged gunmen involved.
Identified suspects
Australian media and officials have reported that the attackers were a 50‑year‑old father and his 24‑year‑old son, described by New South Wales Police as the two assailants in the Bondi Beach shooting during a Hanukkah event. Subsequent reporting has named them as Sajid Akram (about 50) and his son Naveed Akram (about 24), with police saying one was shot dead at the scene and the other was taken into custody in critical condition. Authorities have also said they are not currently looking for additional suspects, indicating they believe these two were the only shooters involved.
