Patrick Cripps of Carlton won the 2024 Brownlow Medal with a record 45 votes. This was his second Brownlow Medal, having previously won it in 2022. Cripps broke the previous record for most votes in a Brownlow Medal count under the 3–2–1 voting system, previously held at 36 votes. The count took place on Monday, 23 September 2024, at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne. Nick Daicos was the runner-up with 38 votes, also surpassing the old record.
