who wrote of mice and men

The novella "Of Mice and Men" was written by American author John Steinbeck. It was published in 1937 and tells the story of George Milton and Lennie Small, two displaced migrant ranch workers during the Great Depression searching for jobs in California. Steinbeck based the novella on his own experiences working alongside migrant farm workers as a teenager.
