The FFA Creed was written by Erwin Milton (E.M.) Tiffany in 1928. It was officially adopted by the National FFA Organization at the 3rd National FFA Convention in 1930. The creed has been revised twice, at the 38th and 63rd National FFA Conventions. E.M. Tiffany wrote the creed initially for the Wisconsin FFA, and it became the official creed after a vote at the 1930 convention, prevailing over an earlier version called the Future Farmers Creed. Tiffany was an agricultural educator with a significant background in agricultural education and leadership.
