who wrote winnie the pooh

Winnie the Pooh was written by English author A. A. Milne. The character and stories first appeared in the 1920s, inspired by Milne's son Christopher Robin and his stuffed toys. Milne wrote the original books "Winnie-the-Pooh" (1926) and its sequel "The House at Pooh Corner" (1928).
