Alison Victoria left Chicago primarily because the city was killing her creativity and she was unhappy due to multiple factors, including prolonged legal battles and a difficult relationship with the city's building department. She described her connection to Chicago like a painful relationship that no longer treated her well, which affected her happiness and creative spirit. After dealing with lawsuits and conflicts that stretched from 2019 to 2021, she decided to move to Las Vegas for a fresh start where she felt more at home and could revive her creativity. She left her beautiful dream home in Chicago fully furnished and relocated to a Spanish-style villa in Henderson, Nevada, which she calls her sanctuary. This move also brought her closer to her partner living in Malibu and allowed her to begin a new chapter with her new HGTV show, Sin City Rehab.
