These posts led to significant backlash and calls for her dismissal, which ultimately resulted in her being fired by Lucasfilm and Disney, who stated that her posts were "abhorrent and unacceptable" and that they no longer wished to associate with her. She later sued Disney for wrongful termination, claiming discrimination based on her conservative views, and this lawsuit was settled in 2025 with both parties reaching an agreement.
